Sean Taylor Tribute : DC Urban Sports remembers Sean Taylor. These pictures of Sean were taken during this year's Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Sean, a safety for the Washington Redskins was awarded Defense Player of The Year by his team mates and coaching staff. (See more career accolades at http://dculs.com/seantaylor.html.) Sean was a tremendous talent and asset to the Redskins team. He was a brilliant young man at the start of his career having played for Washington almost four years. He is surely missed. NFLPA and Native Vision : The NFL Players Association and the Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health teamed up again this year for its 'Evening With the Stars' gala and celebration hosted by veteran 'Skins running back, Brian Mitchell. Now in its 12th year, the NFLPA offers support and enrichment programs for Native Americans Indians to promote healthy minds, bodies, and families through the Native Vision Initiative. Like many youths in the U.S., Native American youth are subject to the same caveats that can hinder their success. HIV/Aids, lack of health care, and educational opportunities plague many communities, but with the support of the NFLPA and the Native Vision awareness and enrichment programs, many have a better chance at winning in the game of life.
